Snap Retail Metrics

Shopify Inventory Scanning

Product and location inventory in one focused scan

Shopify already stores your product catalog and inventory quantities. Snap Retail Metrics connects to that permitted data and presents the information in a scanner-first interface intended for retail floors, stockrooms, and other places where navigating a full commerce administration screen can slow the task down.

What staff can see

Scan a product barcode or enter a SKU to view the matching product, image, vendor, variant, price, and available inventory across connected Shopify locations. The result reflects the data available from Shopify when the request is made; it is not a separate inventory ledger.

Connected demo product All-Weather Hybrid Softshell: the current app screen, presented in a Zebra TC51 hardware frame, shows 98 units and one recorded sale at Westover Store during the latest 60-day window available to the app.

Designed for common retail questions

  • Is this the correct style, color, or size?
  • How many units are available at this location?
  • Does another connected location show available inventory?
  • Which product or variant belongs to this barcode?

Bring your own compatible device or choose managed hardware

Monthly customers may use a compatible device or use web reporting without a scanner. Annual initial purchases include eligible refurbished Zebra TC51 hardware under the current plan terms. Compatibility should be confirmed before relying on other Android scanners.

What this does not replace

Snap Retail Metrics does not replace Shopify POS, Shopify Admin, inventory adjustments, purchasing, transfers, payments, or Shopify’s own reporting. It provides a narrower lookup and operations experience while Shopify remains the source of truth.
