Effective date: August 3, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Snap Retail Metrics, operated by Horizon, LLC (“Snap Retail Metrics,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, discloses, stores, and protects information through snapretailmetrics.com, app.snapretailmetrics.com, our mobile scanner application, subscriptions, device activation, support, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).
1. Scope and roles
This Policy applies to retail account owners, administrators, team members, website visitors, prospective customers, and support contacts. For account, billing, device, website, and direct support information, Snap Retail Metrics generally acts as the business or controller. For customer, order, product, inventory, and fulfillment information obtained from a retailer’s connected Shopify store, the retailer controls that information and Snap Retail Metrics processes it as a service provider or processor to provide the Services.
2. Information we collect
Account and business information
We may collect names, business names, email addresses, hashed passwords, user roles, invitations, store details, Shopify shop domain, account preferences, subscription status, and communications with us.
Shopify and retail operations information
When a retailer connects Shopify, we may process store identity, products, variants, SKUs, barcodes, images, prices, inventory quantities, locations, orders, line items, sales channels, payment-method labels, refunds, discounts, taxes, gift-card activity, fulfillment orders, picking activity, and encrypted Shopify authorization credentials. We use this information to provide barcode lookup, inventory visibility, sales dashboards, reports, order picking, and fulfillment workflows.
Billing and transaction information
We may collect plan, billing interval, device-license quantity, billing contact details, coupon or promotion information, Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, invoices, payment status, failed-payment and grace-period state, cancellations, refunds, tax status, and hardware-order information. Stripe processes complete payment-card and bank-account details; Snap Retail Metrics generally does not receive or store full card numbers.
Device and application information
We may collect device installation ID, device name, model, manufacturer, operating-system version, application version, activation status, public key, license assignment, assigned locations, last activity, and update status. We use this information to activate licensed devices, manage replacements, enforce subscription limits, deliver updates, and protect accounts.
Usage, support, and security information
We may collect login activity, scans, order claims, picks, fulfillments, report requests, account-setting changes, audit events, request IDs, IP address, browser and device information, error details, security events, email-delivery status, and support messages. We use logs to operate, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the Services.

4. How we disclose information
We disclose information only as reasonably necessary for the Services, business operations, security, or law. Recipients may include:

We do not sell personal information for money, and we do not use connected Shopify store data for third parties’ independent advertising or cross-context behavioral advertising.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
Our website and application may use cookies, browser storage, and similar technologies to maintain sessions, remember settings, protect requests, support Shopify authorization, prevent fraud, and measure performance and reliability. You can control cookies through your browser, but disabling essential storage may prevent sign-in or other Service functions.
6. Retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Services, maintain security and audit records, resolve disputes, and meet legal, tax, accounting, fraud, chargeback, and contractual obligations. After account cancellation, account data is generally retained for up to one year and then scheduled for deletion, unless a longer period is required. Limited billing, tax, accounting, fraud, chargeback, and security records may be kept longer. Backup copies may remain temporarily until normal backup rotation completes.
7. Account exports and deletion
Account owners may use available account tools or contact us to request an eligible account-data export or deletion. To protect the account, we may verify identity, authority, password, and email ownership. An early-deletion request may include a seven-day cancellation period. Completing deletion may disconnect Shopify, disable devices, remove users, and permanently erase information that cannot be recovered. We may retain limited records when legally permitted or required.
8. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed for the nature of the information, which may include encrypted transport, protected credential and token storage, password hashing, multi-factor authentication, role-based access, device licensing, restricted infrastructure access, session controls, audit logging, monitoring, backups, and security updates. No system or transmission method can guarantee absolute security.
9. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, consent withdrawal, or an appeal of a privacy decision. You may also have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising a privacy right. We may verify your identity, authority, and relationship to an account before responding. If we process information for a retailer as its service provider or processor, requests concerning that retailer’s customer or employee data should normally be directed to the retailer first.
You may unsubscribe from optional marketing messages using the link in the message. Transactional, billing, security, and Service notices may still be sent while you maintain an account or subscription.
10. International processing
Information may be processed in the United States and other locations where our service providers operate. When required, we use contractual or other safeguards intended to support lawful transfers.
11. Children’s privacy
The Services are designed for businesses and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us.
12. Retailer responsibilities
Retail customers are responsible for providing legally required notices to their employees and customers, choosing appropriate account permissions, removing former users, protecting activation links and devices, and using customer and order information lawfully. Retailers should configure Shopify access and Snap Retail Metrics location, picker, and device assignments according to their own policies.
13. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy as the Services, providers, or laws change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Material changes may also be communicated by email, website notice, or in-app message.
